How do I use the tincture?
Shake the bottle before opening. Drop the tincture directly under the tongue and along the gums, hold and swallow.
What is the difference between the syrup and the tincture?
The tincture is super potent. This tincture is one of the -- if not the most potent elderberry tincture on the market. 1:1 ratio. The syrup offers a better flavor.
What are elderberries?
Elderberries are the dark purple berry from the Sambucus canadensis, commonly called American elder, is native to eastern North America. It is a deciduous, somewhat sprawling, suckering shrub that typically grows to 5-12’ tall.
Can I use elderberry tincture for the cold or flu?
Studies have shown that elderberries can ease cold and flu symptoms. It’s also been shown to reduce the duration of a cold or the flu by two days when taken at early stages.
Where are your elderberries from?
We work with a small local farm that lovingly grows and makes the elderberry syrup in small batches.
Should I refrigerate the elderberry tincture?
The tincture is shelf stable, but can be refrigerated.
Can I take elderberry if I am on other medications?
Elderberry has no known severe, serious, or moderate interactions with other drugs. If you are on pharmaceuticals we encourage you to seek a functional medicine practitioner who can help you address the underlying cause of your illness so that you can stop taking toxic pharmaceuticals.
